Meet Rowena
THE PERSON BEHIND RJ CONSULTANCY
I've spent more than 25 years running businesses, managing teams, solving problems and dealing with all the things that happen behind the scenes to keep a business moving.
My background is varied — and that's actually one of my biggest strengths. I've worked across business management, hospitality and property management, bookkeeping and finance administration, customer service, operations, scheduling, executive assistance and general business administration. I've managed people, properties, contractors, customers, accounts, diaries, systems and the inevitable problems that never seem to appear on anyone's job description.
Over the years I've experienced business from both sides: as the person responsible for running it and as the person behind the scenes making sure everything gets done. That means when a client comes to me with a problem, I'm not approaching it purely from a bookkeeping, admin or consultancy perspective. I look at the business as a whole and work out what will actually make things easier.
I'm very much a roll-your-sleeves-up-and-get-on-with-it person. Sometimes that means sorting out the books, sometimes it's getting control of an overflowing inbox or diary, improving an admin process, dealing with customers or suppliers, organising a project, or simply helping a business owner work out what needs doing first.
That's really why I created RJ Consultancy Services. I wanted to offer smaller businesses access to the kind of experienced, practical support that's normally spread across several different roles — but without the cost or commitment of employing another full-time member of staff.
